DO YOU KNOW THIS MAN? BTP RELEASES CCTV AND APPEALS FOR INFORMATION AFTER CYCLE THEFT - WOLVERHAMPTON

British Transport Police (BTP) officers are appealing for the public’s help to identify a man they want to speak to in connection with the theft of a bicycle from Wolverhampton railway station.

Officers investigating the theft have today released a CCTV image of a man they believe can help with their enquiries.

A man was seen to enter the station on foot at about 11.30am on Tuesday 11 May and hang around the bicycle racks on Platform 1. After crouching down near the bikes, the man removed a silver cycle from the racks and pushed it out of the station.

The man BTP would like to speak to about the theft is described as black, in his mid to late-twenties, of medium build and was wearing a black shiny - possibly leather – jacket, blue jeans and a dark blue or black baseball cap with a red square motif on the front. He was also carrying a black bag over his shoulder.

Anyone who knows the identity of the man in the CCTV image, or his whereabouts, is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, quoting incident number 484 of 11/05/2010, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
